Nikki Corker

Since studying at Cheltenham College of Art and later at The College of St. Paul and St Mary, Nikki has spent most of her adult life painting, teaching and bringing up her two children.nikki corker

As Director of Art in Mill Hill, North London she enjoyed sharing her passion with young people. Introducing them to painting, drawing, photography, pottery, sculpture and much more besides.

Since leaving there to enjoy her own children, she has been able to establish a studio where she can paint till her heart’s content. Her work is mainly in acrylic and is published as greetings cards and prints.

Nikki’s work reflects times of simple pleasures such as the fun that she had while at the seaside during her childhood holidays and the sunny days spent at the coast with her children.

She enjoys sketching where ever she goes, be it walking in the dales or visiting the industrial areas of the north, when creating her quirky images she will often simplify the details yes always maintain the quirky humour within the scene.

Nikki paints what makes her smile and hopes that some of that joy is conveyed to those who take the time to look at her work.
